Game Overview

Skater XL at its core is hands down the best skate game I’ve played in my life. The first 2 hours of gameplay I simply had to accept this game just isn’t Skate 3, steering your board with R2 L2 feels completely alien at first and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to handle the change. But once you’re over that set of new controls it feels like the way every other skate games should have done things, the game feels completely fluid once you understand and learn its physics, don’t expect to load into the game and look like the pro’s,

The next 3 hours of my Skater XL experience was spent modding in a Thrasher shirt and some cool jeans, my entire skate setup from Destructo Trucks to Spitfire wheels, by this point I’d lost myself for hours in the community mods and maps. Then everyday you wake up and just have a real angst to play this game because you’re the one who makes it a unique experience, sometimes I even just load up and start pumping around a bowl for 20mins or try one trick over and over trying to make things look as realistic as possible.
