Game Overview

Each character is unique and not bog down by tropes within the tome genre, they each bring their own merits and character flaws to the table, allowing a wholly unique game play experience that sticks with you well after completing the game. The way each individual route is written allows for interesting developments and plot twists, regardless of the (very minimal) overlap with overarching plot between some of the characters. Some plots are definitely more lighthearted than others, but that doesn’t detract from how well they are written. In fact, I’d even say that some of the lighthearted plots are the highlight of the game and allows for a much more fulfilling experience.

The CGs and character sprites are incredibly well done, I’d even say they’re among some of the most gorgeous artwork I’ve seen in a visual novel, and there’s some immersive special effects and sound effects that really add to the story. Even the soundtrack is well done and manages to create a beautiful environment. Some of the background images can be a little repetitive, especially if you’re playing different routes back to back, but that’s fine because whatever events are unfolding is more than enough to distract from them… they are, y’know, just “background noise” anyways and are quite pretty for what they are.
