The game throws you into the world with a pretty rushed intro cut scene that shows your village being slaughtered. You insta-kill the guy who did it and then the game starts. It lacks much impact, and the rest of the story is gathered from very scarce NPC dialogue, and some collectibles you can find in the world. The game advertises itself as a minimal hand-holder, where difficulty is high and you need to learn how to play on your own. Which I found to very rewarding. For the most part, you explore large sections of the world at a time. You might run into a dungeon that you can clear out, or climb up some old ruins. Along the way, you will find secrets, which I found incredibly fun to try and uncover. You’ll get some loot as a reward, and you move on. There’s a decent amount of platforming, and for the most part it’s enjoyable.
